The Last Eagle Flies Over the Last Crumbling Mountain

Last week’s Friday 10 has its answers posted, both on the original post and in a handy, set-it-and-forget-it YouTube Playlist. Frodis Caper took the lead with three lyrics identified, and Fred took one lyric for a grand total of four out of ten guessed!

The list included two of my all-time favorite viral hits from the days when TikTok wasn’t state-run media in the US, AGiftFromTodd’s remix of “Hostile Government Takeover” and party bop “Jiggle Jiggle” featuring the rap stylings of BBC journalist Louis Theroux.

Also in the mix was a smash hit from yesteryear, Aerosmith’s “Cryin’.” Together with the videos for “Crazy” and “Amazing,” this formed the trilogy that effectively turned Alicia Silverstone into a household name overnight.

And now it’s Friday and time for a new set of lyrics! Get in the comments and identify the artist and title. Remember — No searching for the lyrics on any search engine, and don’t bother asking any LLMs either because they’ll just tell you it’s Elvira’s “Monsta Rap.” I get it, Claude.
