I Wouldn’t Live Without Her, Even If I Could

A team of people stands in black clothes with red stripes painted across their eyes, looking to their right. In front of them, a figure stands looking straight at the camera, no stripe across their eyes but a black veil over the lower half of their face.

It’s time for another Friday 10! Last week saw five lyrics correctly identified — three by Frodis Caper, one by Thud, and one by newcomer HL! The answers are now posted on the original entry, and also as a handy YouTube playlist you can watch here!

Among the tracks not identified was one where I was sure that the lyric I picked would be a dead giveaway. Lyric #9 (“Here, take my shirt and just go ahead and wipe up all the sweat-sweat-sweat”) was from an album that defined the summer of 2013 — especially after a series of controversies and one of the worst legal precedents ever set for the music industry caused “Blurred Lines” to drop out of favor. Daft Punk’s “Random Access Memories” just hit with banger after banger, including “Lose Yourself to Dance.”

But that was then, and this is now! Time for a completely new set of lyrics to be identified. If you know the artist and the song title (or can get close to them), drop it into the comments! And remember: We’re on an honor code that you’re not searching for the answers, and if you identify a cover I’ll still give you credit — as long as it’s a cover I can find.
