Last week’s answers are posted, and it was a decent week! 3 lyrics identified by 1 participant, and those are good numbers for this blog. If you prefer, you can review all 11 songs as part of a YouTube playlist.
Among the songs was a little ditty familiar to all fans of MST3k.
For those who haven’t played before, every Friday I hit “shuffle” on my music player and I take the first 10 songs that come up. I grab a lyric from each one, and you get in the comments and identify the artist and the song. Additional rules: No searching the lyrics, your guess has to be at least close to the title, and I will give credit if you the artist you name covered the song and I can find that cover. It’s all honor system, tho, because the rules are made up and the points don’t matter. Let’s go!
- Let me tell a story of my situation — I was talkin’ to this girl from the US nation
- Mr. Charles Darwin had the gall to ask
- Surrender all your dreams to me tonight, they’ll come true in the end
- I come into town on a night train with an arm full of boxcars
- One that won’t make me talk too much or make my face break out
- When I get through throwin’ it on you, you got to come back for more
- He’s not the Tom Jones that lives next door
- Take your time, she’s only burning
- I messed up tonight, I lost another fight
- Living is easy with eyes closed
And Thudfactor has more to identify if you need a challenge!
